Sea & Shore

A headland builtfor slow days

Palm gardens and lawn running between the guest floors and the pool at Sariya
Water
Pool, beach and lagoon
Shelter
A stone breakwater
Aspect
West-facing shoreline

The property runs out into the Red Sea on its own spit of land, sheltered by a breakwater on one flank and open to the horizon on the other.

That geography does most of the work. Calm water on the lee side, a long swimming pool set back from the sand, gardens deep enough to disappear into, and an evening that arrives over the sea rather than behind you.

  • The Pool at Sariya Hotel
    01

    Water

    The Pool

A long, level rectangle of blue, edged in palms.

The main pool runs the width of the gardens between the guest floors and the beach, with a shallow section, cabanas along one side and loungers on the other. Shade is architectural here — the palms were planted where the sun lands at three in the afternoon.

Open to Day Pass guests from 9:00 AM

  • The Beach at Sariya Hotel
    02

    Shore

    The Beach

    Private sand, west-facing, sheltered.

A groomed shoreline of pale sand with parasols and sunbeds set in loose rows. The breakwater arm holds the swell off, which keeps the water flat and the swimming easy well into the afternoon.

  • The Cabanas at Sariya Hotel
    03

    Shore

    The Cabanas

Shade, on the edge of the water.

Canopied daybeds run the length of the pool where it meets the sand — the part of the property people settle into first and leave last. Parasols are set in loose rows down the beach beyond them.

  • The Gardens at Sariya Hotel
    04

    Shore

    The Gardens

Mature palms, lawns, and a great deal of shade.

Planting runs from the arrival court all the way to the sand — date palms, clipped lawn and terracotta walls that hold the warmth after dark. It is the route most guests take between the room and the water, and it is deliberately the long way round.

  • The Breakwater at Sariya Hotel
    05

    Water

    The Breakwater

Flat water on the sheltered side.

A stone breakwater reaches out from the headland and folds the sea into a calm inner channel. It is the reason the swimming stays easy well into the afternoon, and the reason the property reads as an island from the air.

  • Sunset at Sariya Hotel
    06

    Shore

    Sunset

The one fixture nobody has to schedule.

The headland points west into open sea, so the light goes down over water every evening of the year with nothing in front of it. Every Day Pass the hotel sells is written to end at exactly this moment.

The Sariya headland after dark, lit against the Red Sea
